The Telos Network (TTN) and 4G Metro Form Alliance to Provide Trinity Railway
Express Passengers a Wireless Network, Digital Media and Advertising
SUNNYVALE, Calif. (December 11, 2007) - The Telos Network (TTN), a leading
Silicon Valley integrated marketing solution provider today announced they
have entered into a strategic partnership with 4G Metro, LLC of Granbury, Texas,
a supplier of WiFi metropolitan-scale wireless service offerings. As exclusive
providers, they will install Internet access and a digital sign network in
the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) rail cars, and interactive kiosks in major
route train stations. The TRE is a commuter rail line, jointly owned by the
Fort Worth and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), operating between Dallas and
Fort Worth. The Telos Network has on-board and train station programming responsibility
for news, weather, sports, special events, promotional, entertainment, and
advertising. 4G Metro will install the full range of hardware required for
the mobile and fixed wireless broadband network throughout the Dallas metroplex.
Robert (Bob) Douglas, TTN's President and CEO said, "We're excited about
our partnership with 4G Metro and the opportunity to be named the content provider
for the mobile wireless network. Our multi-year agreement offers certain brands
sponsorship and advertising exclusivity in specified areas, and space will
be available for any paying program sponsors desiring spot-branding. An initial
trial or pilot phase on some cars is expected to commence by February 2008."
Kenneth Barr, a Fort Worth visionary and former mayor of the city of Fort
Worth (1997-2003) said, "I am currently working with a group to promote
and bring together the region where the trains will operate. By region I'm
referring to the counties in North Central Texas surrounding Fort Worth and
Dallas that approximates some 6 million people, making it about the 25th largest
economy in the world. We also believe this population could double within the
next 20-25 years. The Trinity Railway Express trains are an integral part of
our growth plan. They help remove personal vehicles off our already congested
freeways, and by installing the wireless services you're planning, you provide
an inducement to ride them and significantly improve the quality and experience
of that ride."
About 4G Metro
For over 10 years, the mission of 4G Metro, LLC has been to design, deploy,
operate, and maintain leading-edge metro mesh wireless networks for public

areas. Laptops, PDAs, IP phones, and other wireless devices communicate with
each other using standard WiFi protocols; the "mesh" is a three-layer
protocol that allows the network to be dynamic by automatically shifting users
between radio bands on a common network as required by the environment. They
